Design & Create Fine Silver Precious Metal Clay Earrings

You will design and create an original pair of earrings in this beginner level class. Learn sculpting, texturing, cutting, torch firing, finishing, the application of patinas and jewelry assemblage. Take one, two or all three classes and create something unique each time!
For: adults and ages 14-17 with an adult; minimum 4; maximum 7

Sun Salutations I (Surya Namaskar)

Sun Salutations, known in Sanskrit as Surya Namaskar, is a sequence of yoga poses strung together and performed one after another in a Vinyasa, or Flow Style, creating a feeling and resemblance to an artful or sacred dance. Once learned, these 12 poses may be performed at a slow tempo to gain strength, flexibility and stamina or at a quicker pace to gain aerobic benefit. They may also serve as a template for beginning a home practice.
For: adults - moderate to intermediate level of activity; minimum 3; maximum 8
Supplies& Notes: Bring yoga mat; dress comfortably for full range of movement.

The Wonder of it All (Yoga)

This course is designed for the active stay-at-home or out-and-about office/desk/ computer user. Poses will be geared toward preventing and may alleviate common stresses and strains that come with full days of keyboarding and prolonged sitting.

Bookmaking

Students will learn how to make hand-bound blank books using a variety of techniques, including Japanese stab binding, hard cover and soft cover books. Hand-batiked fabric from Ghana, West Africa will be provided for covers. Make one for yourself or a gift for someone.

Yoga, Meditation and Relaxation I

As the earth becomes still in winter, it allows the fall seeds to lie dormant yet gather strength during their resting phase in preparation for spring. So will we follow the natural cycle of the season with poses and mindfulness practices that calm and quiet the body, mind and heart.
